Free talk for staff and students and interested public. Prof Colm Mulcahy explores the relationship between card magic and mathematics, through the prism of influential writer Martin Gardner. The presentation will be based on his recently published book Mathematical Card Magic: Fifty-Two New Effects. The material in this entertaining show can be used to liven up parties and maths classes and provides multiple jumping-off points for undergraduate study and seminars. http://cardcolm.org/Book.html |
